Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, was my Third Year Production at NYU. Originally we were going to design Blithe Spirit, but we lost the rights when it was produced on Broadway, so after much scrambling we were slated to design Earnest. Despite our design schedule being essentially cut in half, I feel that we were able to produce a stylish show that kept the audience engaged.
